Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Entrexx Digital (Dhaka, Bangladesh), which runs PotatOS. By creating an account or using PotatOS you accept them. If you use it for a business, you accept them on that business's behalf.

1. What PotatOS is

PotatOS lets a merchant run an online shop: a store page, products, orders, payments through the merchant's own accounts, courier booking, customer records, messages and reports. We provide the software; the merchant runs the shop and sells to its own customers.

2. Beta

PotatOS is in a closed beta. During the beta it is free, features may change, and we may contact you for feedback. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we don't promise uninterrupted service during the beta.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 or older and give true details about yourself and your business.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your team's accounts.
• Tell us at support@potatos.app straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

4. Your shop and your customers

• You are the seller. Your contract of sale is with your customer, and you are responsible for your products, prices, descriptions, delivery, returns and refunds, and for following the laws that apply to selling online in Bangladesh, including the Digital Commerce Operation Guidelines, 2021, and consumer protection law.
• You must have the right to sell what you list and to use the photos and text you upload.
• You decide what customer data to collect and how to use it. Send promotional messages only to customers who agreed to receive them.
• Payment gateways, couriers and messaging accounts you connect are under your own agreements with those providers. Money from your sales goes to you, not through PotatOS.

5. Things you must not do

• Sell anything illegal in Bangladesh or where you sell, including weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, or gambling and betting.
• Mislead or defraud customers, or take orders you don't intend to fulfil.
• Send spam, or messages to people who haven't agreed to receive them.
• Try to break into PotatOS, overload it, copy it, or reach other merchants' data.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

6. Fees

PotatOS is free during the beta. After the beta, plans will be charged monthly at the prices on our home page. We will announce what each plan includes, and any price change, at least 30 days before it applies to you. PotatOS takes no commission on your sales. Refunds of plan fees follow our Refund Policy.

7. Your data

Your store content and your customer records belong to you. You can download them at any time. We handle them as described in our Privacy Policy, only to provide the service. If you close your account, your data is kept for 90 days so you can come back, and then deleted.

8. Our software

PotatOS, its design and its code belong to Entrexx Digital. You may use it to run your shop while your account is active; you may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

9. Suspension and closing

You can stop using PotatOS at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or (after the beta) leaves fees unpaid. Suspending an account does not delete its data. If a plan fee is unpaid, we may take the store offline until it is paid; your data stays.

10. Limits of our responsibility

We provide PotatOS as it is and as available. We are not responsible for losses caused by your products, your dealings with your customers, the services you connect (payment gateways, couriers, messaging), or events outside our control. Where the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before it applies. Using PotatOS after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. We will first try to settle any disagreement by talking to you; otherwise the courts of Dhaka will decide it.
